Diane Kazarian

National Financial Services Leader at PWC

Diane has spent her career almost exclusively focused on the financial services sector, on large multi-national organizations. She has worked both in the US for 10 years in New England during the S&L crisis and moved to Toronto in May 1990 joining the banking practice of PwC. She led the audit of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) from 1999 – 2002, as well as the audits of other financial institutions. Diane is the Global Relationship Partner for a major Canadian bank and is currently the lead engagement partner responsible for the audits of Bank of America Canada, Merrill Lynch Canada, Goldman Sachs Canada and JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A..

Leadership Experience Diane is the leader of the Financial Services (FS) practice for PwC Canada which includes Banking and Capital Markets, Private Equity, Insurance, Asset Management and Real Estate across Assurance, Tax and Consulting with a deep focus on Banking as Canada's Banking and Capital Markets Leader. This practice accounts for in excess of 25% of total Canadian firm revenue. She is also a member of PwC's Global FS Leadership and is responsible for PwC’s Global Financial Services Brand. She has spoken at a variety of industry and client events, and teaches courses aimed at the directors' community at the Rotman School of Management. Diane frequently interacts with the press on emerging issues in Banking & Capital Markets primarily focused on emerging trends in banking and FinTech.
